Well they figured out the problem. The keyway to the input shaft broke off clean allowing the shaft to spin freely without pumping any fluid which stopped the gears from engaging. He said the fluid was clean, they drained it and didn't find any metal/debris. I'm surprised how clean the fluid looks in the pics. Car has about 40,000 miles. He said they actually have a pump in the shop with about 100 miles on it from the tranny they used during Mercedes training. Replacing the rear main seal while it's dropped.

Surprised that piece just snapped and nobody else running theirs hard at the drag has had this happen. Guess just one of those things.

Before they put everything together, they need to find out what caused that to happen. They spin by hand so for it to break both keys, something stopped it dead in it's tracks and if it's still in there, the new pump will meet the same demise.

They didn't find any particular cause. They gave me a 1 year warranty on this and ended up doing it all for a great price considering. They said they were impressed by how clean the fluid and internals were.

THANK YOU RUDY FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!
