SRT6 Fuel Pressure setting with AEM Pressure Regulator???
A question for those that have installed the AEM adjustable fuel pressure regulator. What did you adjust your pressure to?
Yes but Jim, that's like comparing an orange to a grape. LOL
you made me laugh
do you think you need more or less fuel.
I set mine by lowering it to the point that i started to run lean at wot in 3 gear 13.4, then went up 1lb at a time until the afr went to 10 then set in in the middle which was 66.
I was running 72 lbs for about a year and the afr's was 11.2 at wot,, now I am running 11.9 to 12.3 depending what gas i run

Set at 58 I'm leaning out sharply at 5600 rpm. Really trying not to upgrade the injectors at this time. Can I safely adjust up to say 62 and drive it till I hit the dyno again or do I risk running rich then...............Isn`t modding wonderful !

you can go up and not worry about hurting the engine ,I would go up to 64 to 65 just to be safe
don't you have a afr guage?? that should be the first mod so you can see what the next nod or mods do .. jim

Dyno tuned today and it ended up taking 68 psi to get my AFR's in line. 550cc injectors not needed.
Hey Sparkie, Thanks for that follow up post. I have my AEM adjustable regulator set at 58 (per initial instructions from Rob) but I'm going to bump it up as soon as I put my car back together (I have the whole front end apart right now). There are a few things I need to do but based on your experience I think bumping up the fuel pressure will help. My acceleration drops off noticeably at the top third gear and then kicks back in strong as soon as the transmission shifts. The engine is apparently not getting enough fuel and the computer is cutting back the timing. Were those your symptoms too?

The economy must be treating electricians really well, but we knew that anyway.
Don't make me post that picture I have of you in bed with that goat!!!!. I'd probably have to ask you for help instructions to post it though.
Oh, I guess everyone knows now....ooops.
I've been told the stock regulated filter limits pressure at 54 psi.........but I didnt have a built-in pressure gauge installed with the stock filter to verify that.

Better be careful Bob. I was going lean as soon as I put the 62mm pulley on at 5600rpm at the top of third. Dont rely on my findings of 68psi to think yours will be fine. Every car is different. Get it dyno'd to be sure.
did you say "ps. My car is a beast....no doubt a E55 Crossfire killer."
beast maybe, but a E55 crossfire killer,I don't think so. at least not my E55 crossfire. LOL.
jim
Good advice . . . I will get it to a dyno when I get it put back together.
[QUOTE=amx1397;795388]well I tried to tell you when my was running my "6" at 65psi,

LOL.....Jim I was actually poking another local E55 owner as a bit of a friendly and optimistic challenge before we line em up together. I think you know who I mean.

Was Rob's recommendation for the 65mm pulley? Makes sense. You are running the 62mm. So I would think a bump would be required. Just guessing. I may have to go to this as I don't want to change injectors. And Yes. Modding is so wonderful......lol
