There's nothing to pump. Also, the coolant comes in many different colors (blue, red, green, yellow...)

I don't have an IC pump ATM and I don't have any issues you've reported.
Mind you I only drive it 10km at a time, but still give it some from time to time.

Thread is closed fellas! Heres the diagnosis. It WAS the IC pump. Im just stupid. What happened is the pump was pretty much done it didnt work at all anymore. So when i droped it, the reason it didnt dump fluid was it didnt draw any because it doesnt work. So when i put the new one in the IC was bone dry which is why my reservior was filled to the tippy top. SO, when i had it in i drove it really hard to see if it worked, by doing so for about 3-5 mins i didnt give the IC time to get fluids so it still went limp from being low on fluids. SO when i turned it on and puttered along for 20 mins it gave the time it needed to fill and it ran like a beautiful dream

My symptoms are different: Intermittent (only twice), ambient air temperature more than 80, after coming off the freeway and accelerating from a stop the car is sluggish like driving through resistance. Turning the car off and letting it sit for a few minutes returns it to normal. IC pump?

Sounds like what mine started with, itll be fine at one moment and then i hit the gas and i just watch my RPMs climb and my speed crawl, gotta let off slowdown stop and let it simmer down. Try replacing it just to be safe, if youre not sure a good "test" (my opinion) is go ahead and jack the car up, take off your tire and wheel well, and the look at your pump. The hose going horizontally into it, remove that with a bucket under it, see how much fluid poors out. If its lesd than 12+ ounces youre pump is definately failin

try this :

( also add : remove the belly pan so you can also remove the two additional 10mm plastic nuts for the fender well cover. )

If you find little fluid in the hose you may actually be suffering from an air lock in the system, the IC is above most of the coolant and is pumped up there. If the pumped is not primed it will not do any pumping.
