What is it worth? Aero blue SRT coupe - 31k miles
I had to sell my SRT a couple of years ago and have missed it ever since....SO I have been looking, and a neighbor is looking to sell his 2005 Aero Blue SRT6 Coupe. Car is immaculate, all original documents incl. service history and navigation, bone stock, always garaged. Body is in perfect condition, with new battery and brakes - here is the kicker, only 32k miles.
As I have been out of the market for some time, I am not sure what to offer him...What would be a good price? Thx guys!

You guys pitching lowball offers are the same guys lamenting the drop in value of our cars. Cannot have it both ways. Too funny.
Look up values in KBB and Edmunds, then adjust up/down based on condition and your desire.

@Goldwing: who is "you guys"? You don't know me, don't pretend you do.

Of course I did this. The problem is that neither the pricing on KBB nor Edmunds has anything to do with the sales price of lately sold SRT6s, for example on this forum or ebay.
All I was asking for was a recommendation to start the negotiation with this guy.

You didn't tell us what the asking price is?
"You guys" is everyone on this forum who complains about the drop in value of their cars, but then recommend buyers make lowball offers. Don't take it personally. And I wasn't pretending to know you. But I do acknowledge that you own the best color XF so we can be friends if you want to.
Good point, part of my problem...There is no asking price, he literally said, "make me an offer".
For me it would depend on if he was the first owner or not. Somebody that paid close to, or full price originally does not want to hear low *****. I could be wrong but that's my opinion.
If I were you I'd decide how much you are willing to pay for a nice example with 32k, subtract the cost of anything you would want to modify immediately and offer that with some wiggle room. If you get a nice car at a price you're willing to pay and have money left to spend on it, it's a good day.
I use autotempest.com to search listings. Just put in chrysler crossfire your zip and SRT in the keyword box. Lots of examples of prices from many sources if you want some more comparison.

Looking at your initial comments, Aero Blue Coupe, Immaculate, all original supporting docs, body is perfect, new battery and brakes with 32,000 miles and you want to offer $13,000?
That is an insult, based upon your glowing remarks about the car! If I were selling the car, it would be in the $17-$19 range and I would laugh at your offer.
Just my 2 cents.....

What Goldwing states is very true - a lot of forum members lament about how our cars aren't keeping value but when someone comes on here to sell one, they get blasted for asking too much - doesn't make much sense to me.
Since the seller said make an offer, make one. If it is too low, you'll know where you stand and you'll know how too adjust your offer. I would bet dollars to donuts that if you came in too high, the seller would not say "Woah, Chief, you're way too high - you need to come down a bit". He'd just sign over the title and you'd own a car.
When a guy says "make an offer", he needs to be prepared to hear a low offer - its part of negotiating. 13K - 15K is in the range of what stock SRTs have sold for recently - some have gone for less, some have gone for more.
No matter what, the seller is going to want as much as he can get and the buyer is going to want to pay as little as possible - I don't see any harm in that.

Here's someone asking $19k for only 6,240 miles. still no bids with 1 day to go.

under $15k seem pretty reasonable if its got 32k miles. IMO

I paid 15K for an aero blue one a few years ago with 24K miles. I have a lot of mods on it now, so certainly I wouldn't take 15k for it today. But I would take something in the 17.5 range. As for a stock SRT6 w/ 32k....and if immaculate, it would be worth easily 13-15k. There is nothing wrong with negotiating a good price. That doesn't make it a low ball offer. If a guy needs the money, a quick sale, and wants cash...so be it. You aren't going to finance old cars....so it is what it is. Offer him 13 and see if he counters, or asks for cash....lol
I just paid $13.5K for this SRT6 on ebay with 12.1K miles. It was listed at $18K with make offer option, so I offered the $13.5K and it was accepted.
I based the price on an earlier ebay auction with one with 10.4K miles that was in mint condition, kept in temperature controlled garage, etc, that had a BuyItNow price of $15K and bidding went only to $14.2K and relisted it went to $13.3K. That seller said he no longer had it so I don't know what that one ended up selling for. This $13.5K price seemed in the ball park of that auction. It looks like it sat almost all of its life until 2nd owner bought it with 200 miles in 2012 and put on 12K. He is now moving to Hawaii so is selling the car.

Gonna fly down and pick it up, or have it shipped ?
Either way, GOOD BUY, and congratulations !
Too bad the top doesn't move

Deciding whether to drive or ship. Leaning toward flying since there is a lien on this car and I think I should go to the bank with seller to clear it. Bought through ebay, though, may cover my lien risk. Need to check with ebay on that.
I have owned a couple of convertibles in the past. Have one now, a 1995 Celica, and find I seldom put the top down and it is definitely noisier, so I decided to go for a coupe this time. On a nice day, driving with the top down, though is really nice. Don't make me reconsider!!!
I am usually making short trips, so on a nice car it is a pain to put top up/down at store parking lots, etc. I can leave my Celica open, but even then I have had my stereo stolen out of it once, and that time I had the top up but the window was down because it couldn't roll up. I figure, what's the risk of car broken into with window down, since with a convertible a thief can easily cut through anyway. Speaking of that, I had my top ripped up by kids once on my other convertible as it sat in my drive way overnight.
Good luck on the trip.
I was going to suggest you have it serviced before starting the long trip back, but the more I think of that, the more chance I see of them screwing something up !
Probably just check / top off the fluids and air and hit the road.
Service everything when you get home.
