Bought a Maserati
I purchased an 05 Maserati Quattroporte on Monday. My SRT6 is faster and shifts quicker than the F1 style trans in the Mas. However, the New car is way more comfortable for this old guy. Still debating what to do With my SRT6 Roadster, It only has 24k on the clock and I should be able to get a pretty good price for it. I'll make you guys/gals aware of it's availability should I list it.

I'll bet spares are pricey, lovely looking car though.
Thanks guys for the replies, I WAS a little intimidated by the maintenance costs that these things can bring. The parts are expensive. I'm an old motorhead so if it's crushing I can do it myself. Although at 66, I'd rather let some young guy do it.
Yes, much improved cup holder but no food or drink allowed in Mas. or Crossfire. My wife spilled lots of tea on my Cadillac leather so I banned liquid when I got the SRT6. Alcantra and all. Good policy, I'm keeping it.
I'm still sorting things out but there will be pictures.

What do 9 year old Maseratti's go for at what mileage? Just curious -- they are beautiful cars. I was admiring a newer one in the "doctors lot" at Stamford Hospital a few weeks ago. What color is your SRT6 (I would not mind adding a graphite 'vert to the fleet)?
We saw several of them with average miles (low for the age) around 50k and depending on age and options they were going for $20-$30k at Mecum...
My usual rant....Something like that (age and miles) will set you back about 60-70 large here in Australia...0.93USD=1AUD

$32,000 31 K on the clock. They depreciate like crazy because the parts are insane and people (not us motorheads) are afraid of them. A wheel bearing (one bearing) $750.00 to give you and idea
This is the actual car that I bought. The pictures make the interior look beige but they are that "orangy" brown that you see in Ferraris and other high end cars.

It has a F1 style trans. A clutch (2) that the brain shifts when you hit the paddles. Since a clutch job is 4k-5k (not that I would pay that), I would prefer my SRT6 trans. It shifts just as fast and doesn't run through clutches. I was a little disappointed by the Maserati forums. Those guys aren't the "motorheads" we Crossfire guys are. They pretty much discuss what mechanic they're taking it to. Maybe they have some tech heads but I haven't found them yet.
Thanks 180, do you miss the political forum? I do. I remember you as a great debater.
