What brand of paint is on that engine, thanks in advance.
If you're referring to the valve covers, they're the silver teflon coated covers from Needswings. I haven't painted anything, except the pulley bracket for the PSK kit.
Hi Chris. I have to ask; was this improvement/modification the result of someone's pulley failing and twisting the original scatter shield,or worse? Could, should we upgrade to your new improved bracket? Thank you for your continued effort in a very cool product for us. BTW, am really loving the new paddle shifters that I just finally got installed a few months ago. I thought I was over my head for a brief moment or two, but your excellent "How-To" was perfect!

Agreed^^^.
A scatter shield is a must on those after market pulleys, even the OEM one must fail at some point but not as soon as the after market ones.

Yes and no, while the scatter Shield has been successful on the few occasions that it has been tested, I had one end user who had his pulley let go which resulted in the shield getting a little twisted and I decided that this scatter shield design needed a little bit more reinforcement. I had been struggling with how to do it as I wanted to come up with a solution that was Backward Compatible and I did. The new upgrade bracket that adds further stability to the scattershield can be installed easily on the existing scattershield. if you're interested in getting the bracket I had some extras made just send me an email.
Cheers,
Chris
PS happy to hear that you were successful with your paddle install I never doubted your ability for a minute :-)
Received the scatter-shield from Chris in Mondays mail. Nice work and thank you for keeping these products available for the Crossfire. I now will have piece of mind while driving. I hope to get it chromed along with a few other pieces before install.

To get a good chrome job you need to polish the part first and a really good polish may be satisfactory as is. Chroming stainless steel is a bit more work than chroming plain steel I believe and therefore more costly.
I was just starting to install mine and found a small square piece of metal in with the bolts. Does this have a purpose? Is it some kind of spacer or ?
