the engineering put into the crossfire srt6 is much better than the engineering put into the srt8... the german made with AMG and SRT performance is much more advanced than the srt8, and the srt6 is a much more head turning car... and when it comes down to cornering and performance the srt6 will win hands down.

 

And to think people still quote individuals from decades ago...

xbcyrus, as the owner of a 300c SRT8 I can tell you the engineering is the same by the same people and believe me I get people asking all the time to see that big 6.1 hemi under the hood.
I am looking for an SRT6 for my wife and do like them, but I prefer a car that has some room and with the Diablo Predator tuner now out there, there will be many 12 second "Banker's Hotrods"that only a select few SRT6 can touch!
It's all a matter of choice!
And the rest of you guy's are right, this thread should have been buried long ago!

 

Bigsnake, when are you going to pull the trigger? The prices have started to creep up and the inventory is going down! I'm hoping to get a call from my dealer who gets many SRT-6's at auction. When I do, I will post them.

 

Yesterday I sent the final payment on my wife's Liberty Renegade and there's a black Crossfire coupe sitting on the Chrysler dealers lot here in town. Will try to get there this weekend to look it over. Don't know if it's an SRT6!

 

If there is only one on the lot, it's highly unlikely its an SRT6, but you never know!

OK, I went to look at the black Crossfire and was thoroughly disappointed. Not only was it not an SRT6 but it was an '04 with 50k on it. Tires were bald and when I cranked it, it sounded like a rock crusher. Politely said no thanks and left. I will continue the search!

 

Good luck finding one, I've kept my eyes open ever since my first SRTTE in '05. Pretty rare find. I absolutely love them!

As for comparing it to an SRT8... ? Two very different cars, so different I just can't get my head around it. Big fast luxo sedan VS two door sporty car with lightning reflexes?

I want both!
