Methanol Injection Kit
Did you have a brand in mind? Snow performance is a good one. may be best to contact them, in fact I will as I have nothing to do with my car in the shop getting a door painted.
Just curious, how will it lower the iat's and how would it affect the afr's, I think you mean good fuel atomtization? Anyways I will contact one of the vendors. I know it helps prevent knock and allows more boost but our SC is limited, but maybe the meth injection would cool the otherwise hot air the SC would pump in with stacked pulleys.
snow or aem meth is best brands, it will drop air temperature if you instal it after sc ,its tested , but i want to hear real stories about our engines and meth kits work
I recommend an expensive kit with lots of safeguards if your going to use water/meth. A 50/50 mix lowered my AFR's .5. First I had a nozzle installed in the N/W intake before the throttle body and began spraying around 10 psi. The supercharger felt cool but the air was heated by the intercooler resulting in only a few degrees benefit. Then I moved the nozzle to the Y pipe. The velocity of the air pushed the spray away from the IAT sensor so the ECU didn't know the charge was cool. The last straw was when the controller malfunctioned and emptied the contents of the reservoir into my engine. The kit is still on my car but disconnected.
The best place for the nozzle is in the V of the engine at the intercooler outlet. In other words, you have to pull the supercharger for the installation. I didn't gain horsepower with meth but I didn't tune for it either. All my acquaintances that have used it loved it, until something went wrong and cost them an engine. (Subaru's mostly) That's why I say get a complete kit with all the safeguards if you decide to use it.

Stage 2 MAF/MAP Water-Methanol Injection System
Here is a link to one of the best injection kits available. They say it DOES lower the intake air temps but I don't know how and I will not heard back until tomorrow as I have 9 people ahead of me. It could be possible to run higher boost than many of us are and not have things get really hot! $500. I will get answers tomorrow. So far I have these:
1. Lower IAT's-how?
2. Does the addition of the water/meth mix change the AFR's. I have the adjustable regulator so no big issue there.
3. Where would the nozzle for injecting the mix be placed. I am thinking but without the car here to look where it could be and feed both banks.
If anyone has a question place it here or PM me and I will ask it tomorrow. Mark
PS: this is a progressive kit that is controlled by the MAF/MAP sensor
Les thanks for the info on your example of water injection. The Snow kit seems to be the best in the industry. maybe this would allow stacked pulleys to work. I mean combo's like a 181/65. Very difficult to get that combo to run successfully but if it were possible it would add a decent amount of power. I might even change my stack to the 178/65 if this kit does what they claim. I don't know how it lowers the intake air temps? We will know more tomorrow. Of course running a stack like a 178/65 could challenge the SC and what it can take as it would be spinning way lover what I believe is the efficient range. Effectively raising the octane rating up to 25 points could help any amount of boost to run safer and cleaner.

Water/methanol cools through evaporation. A 50/50 mix will richen the AFR approx .5. The BEST place for the nozzle on our engine is in the intercooler outlet before the Y pipe and IAT sensor.

Les, my car is in the shop for some paint work. Is there much room to work in back there or do some parts have to be removed? Thanks for the help and sharing your experience. mark
If you get really interested, I have a kit, a couple of tanks, everything you need... and I will sell it all cheap... going to list a bunch of items and parts on the other SRT site soon...
My meth kit is a mix of brands. I am spraying before the sc in the needswings intake near the bend. I have a main power switch se it to kill power to the pump and a led light that illuminates when the pump is spraying so I can monitor it to make sure it's not spraying when it is not supposed to.
