Max PSI before fuel upgrades
Hi guys, I was wondering how much psi I can push before I need fuel upgrades. I've read someone stacking a 70mm pulley/178 crank pulley with just a sl55 fuel pump, regulator and filter. Thats not bad in my opinion.
I was thinking about getting my pulley turned (after reading Sweet2002's thread) to 66-69 mm, haven't decided yet. I may or may not get a crank pulley (1k for new ones is a bit steep for me right now).
Another option is the 62mm sc pulley but I would have to find one used correct?
I'm really leaning towards getting my turned b/c:
1) Its cheap
2) proven to be reliable
3) I can upgrade to the next level when I'm ready where as with a 62 mm I might need fuel upgrades.

Contact them via email. They just made a batch a month or two back. Beware turning your stock pulley too. The rivets and springs have to be spot on or trouble ensues.

So to answer my question, fuel mods will be necessary (IMO) to run the 62 mm.
The Dyno charts on their websites show a gain about 46 whp, so does that mean going from 65mm to 62 is only good for about 5 whp? I sent them another email as well.

Understand that their base HP is the wrongly advertised 330 HP (349 actual), so the gains aren't exactly accurate. Also, different dynos register different outputs. Mustang dynos are widely regarded as the "heartbreaker", usually giving you the lowest numbers. I'm still running a 65 for the reasons you mentioned.....I don't want to upgrade injectors. Already installed them on Thumper's car and it's a pain in the @$$. The 62 can normally deal with just an SL55 fuel pump unless you're down at sea level like me. If you plan on riding at WOT for extended lengths, get injectors and a dyno tune.
I "believe" your safe up to 19 psi. Get over 20 psi and you need to start upgrading. I'm good with my 178 pulley but when I add my 64.7 mm supercharger pulley on things get weird …. lean …. power DROPS at the top of 3rd. Not sure it's all fuel related but the AFR's lean out …. a lot. I also have a SL55 Pierburg fuel pump. It makes a difference if your on the edge and don't plan on more mods.

I don't think you could SAFELY turn it to 66 mm, I believe that 68 or 69 is about the limit.

Just putting my experience in here as well. I have the Eurocharged 62 as well and it is running great. No change in fueling on mine. Only changed the spark plugs to NGK Iridiums for the better spark. I believe the last dyno pull I had was around 366 to the wheels. Hope you get one and have some fun!

I might try 67mm on the stock SC wheel. $90. for a stock STEEL pulley against an aluminum pulley(65mm) at $650. with tune and OBDII cable makes great sense. research and make a decision based upon fact as all motors are a bit different and of course we are at different climates/altitudes etc.
The injectors were on ebay and billy22bob got a set for 185. on a best offer sale. I paid the $210. or so. between the injectors and exhaust my idle is very smooth without a miss. Good luck!
Any PSI greater then what the 65mm pulley outputs is when id reccomend doing some fuel mods and retune. I went to a 185mm crank pulley and changed everything on mine as far as fuel and igntion. And all dynos are different, my 6 put out 361/361 on the 65 pulley and stock fuel mods

I was turning 19+psi with just the 65mm SC pulley. So close, that is why I recommend a wideband O2 sensor/gauge. This is the most important gauge.
