Default Re: Tune shopes in illinois

you could always call Eurocharged or look for one of their vendors.

I would look into the following:

1) Intake (EZ DIY)
-Needswings dual cold air intake with the extreme filters is hands down the BEST out there. Price is nowhere near the best (free being best), 900-1000 dollars depending on your finish
-get a factory sl55 intake setup with devil horns and KN&N filters (easy. simple install, no cutting, little to none customizing, really good gains)
-build your own intake. There are two popular ones, if your interested I can send you a link or search for them. They would probably yield a little more than the sl55 but not quite as good as Needswings

2) Smaller Pulley (moderately ez)
- you have choice of SC pulley or Crank. SC is cheaper
- SC is cheaper
- I suggest the 62 mm from Eurocharged, for less power but same price you can get the 65mm
- You can get your factory pulley turned for under 200, IMO that is the best bang for the buck. Can have it turned to 68-69mm.
- Note that the 62mm pulley will require fuel mods. Some get away with just the sl55 fuel pump. Others upgrade fuel filter and injectors. Tune would be a must. A wideband AFR gauge is highly recommended.
- You will need to change out your intake manifold Gaskets for the increased boost.
- You can also stack them and get more boost, but your SC will not be efficient. It will be pumping a lot of hot hair. You would need upgrade your heat exchanged at this point.

3) IC pump (EZ DIY)
- The factories ones tend to go bad fairly quick. I would suggest upgrading to Johnson pump even if yours isn't bad. The Johnson pump flows more too.

4) Tune (EZ DIY)
-Eurocharged is the go-to company. You can look into getting a dyno tune as well.

5) V8 Swap (super ez... for Rudy)
-forget everything I mentioned and contact Rudy and just do this. Forget about cost, its worth it. Forget about how long it will take, its worth it.
