I'm going to pop my srt6 cherry this Sunday on the 1/4 track. My big issue is the supercharger nanny kicks in as soon as the *** end spins. Any pointers. Turning traction control off I tend to go sideways. So I need pointers. I'm new to track time

 

Turning Traction off is key to prevent "SC nanny code" as you call it..(LOL)....you probably realise this though.

If you don't have an LSD (it would appear) then all I can offer is maybe squeeze the accelerator off the line to maintain traction a little better.
I've never been to the track and have never run Drag Radials, but have a few "on ramps" around town I try a couple of times a week where I can hit 80mph within in the mandatory 4-5 seconds (for this car) and then throw on the anchors to get back to 55-65. Much fun - even better with the top down.

Otherwise invest in an LSD (I have the Wavetrac) if you plan on pursuing better times/thrill. They used to go for around $800 + fitting. Not sure if Quaife LSD's are still favoured among some.

Traction control off, trans in manual mode and in 1st gear, hold revs at 1,000-1,200 RPM while braking.....let go of brake and roll into the throttle as soon as the third yellow lights up. Wait for green and you're too late leaving. Hope that helps.
