Ill add more and write up the IC replacement on my srt-6 2005. Original IC was well gunked up with antifreeze and such.

IC came from Needswings in a box with gasket gun and factory gaskets and coated IC of the RUDY design, well put together kit, no issues or problems. IC looked like nasa parts, nice.

DO NOT DO THIS unless your a gear head as it is complex and there are many ways to screw up- you need immediate memory and my hint, TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE YOU START FROM ALL SIDES, youll thank me later. TAKE PHOTOS AS YOU GO< same story here.

Woody, what is that reflected plastic bubble wrap rated at? I bought a roll and decided it wasn't robust enough for that location. I ended up using it to make custom sunshades I found a fiber fill reflective material that was fire retardant to use instead.

 

Its mylar insulation wrap, sure its good for 212 and I dont see any issue. Autocrossed the heck out of it and no smell or issues. Ill have to light some to see how it does but its mylar and that seems good to me Enjoy. ww

The new IC core looks slightly smaller than the factory.

Any difference according to the butt dyno after IC/porting?

 

butt is much better but the IC is clean and it is same size though it appears to be a bit bigger in spots. Photo shows two ICs are NOT lined up so look closer, please.
