Default Amg engine

Since our engines are AMG, are they signed by the builder and if so, where?

I think that I would call them a 'No Name' brand engine. They were probably delivered to Karmann in a plain brown wrapper.

There were a couple of reasons there was a signature plate on the MB AMG produced engines, it assured the buyer that one person assembled the engine. The other reason, enabled MB to track the failures to a specific engine assembler, if there was a trend in failures, the builder would be executed by a former SS officer!
The guy that built our motors was exiled to Argentina, and never heard from again....

Thanks Dennis, I knew someone would know. The reason that I brought it up was I saw a blurb about taking 3+ years to be able to assemble an engine and only one guy, a man named Kubler, assembles the engine for the Pagani Huayras. Maybe he assembled my engine!!!!!!!
