Talking Summer is here - are you prepared??

When I worked on the pulley saver to protect the idler pullies, by necessity a longer belt was researched and found. All is well and it has been a good upgrade.

ARE YOU CARRYING A SPARE BELT??

I have had a spare belt stored in the taillight cavity of my trunk SOOO if the belt shreds or has some mishap Iam covered. Out on the road, there is no shop that knows the specs- length of the longer belt and your sure to have a lot of frustration at that point.

Belt up and be prepared, and if you have the pulley saver belt and you change out a working belt, carry it for the extra security it can provide.

Just a thought I had the other day, Enjoy WDY

A good idea, I intend to get a spare and I understand that a Gates K081145 is the correct one for the stock SRT. Can anyone confirm that is the correct one?
Belt length is 114.5 “ with 8 ribs.

That is the correct Gates brand belt for a stock SRT6, belt # K081145. I've had my spare for several years in my satchel for any length of trip.

Thanks for the confirmation, no fun if it turns out to be the wrong one when you suddenly need it miles from anywhere.

Make sure you dip into the details and get the one for the right engine (N/A vs Supercharged).
