Default Odd Sound plus Odd Smell(s)

Cranked up the Rescue SSB SRT and heard what sounded like a mild belt squeel..low pitched that was intermittent. When the sound occurred, the RPM's would drop by 200 or so...then when the sound dissappeared, the RPM's would pick back up. At the same time, since I had opened the door, the interior lights were on and I noticed as the sound occurred and the RPM's dropped, the interior lights would dim a bit. No lights on the dash are indicating any trouble. So, I drove it, as the sound dissappeared and didn't return with no problems.
This morning, I decided to open the hood, crank it, and go look see if anything looked amiss. Nothing looked amiss, but I detected a strange odor, smelled like alternator windings, maybe. As I got close to the supercharger, which we topped off quite a while ago, I could smell the dairyfarm smell of the supercharger oil. Might it be leaking? Might the alternator (1 yr old) be dragging? Should I perform, tests on the charging system and top off the supercharger oil again? Thanks in advance.

I would pull the belt off and make sure all pulleys turn freely.
