Angry SRT-6 Hub cap

Hi,

I left my car at the garage today to install new tires on my 2005 SRT-6 convertible.
I take care to ask at my appointment if the garage have the special tire machine that don't touch mag wheel. and they said yes. So go for it!
Result: Tire look great and run well.
I realise tonight at my home one hub cap is not installed properly.
After inspection of 4 wheels: the fu*** mechanic ruin all 4 hub caps by prying it and bend them. So now they don't fit properly and bend is apparent.
Stupid guy GRRRR!!!

Any idea were to find new ones or a place to repair them?
I joined pictures of cap.

what bends them is they don't line up the slot in the cap with the cut-out in the wheel and hammer them on anyway.

Yes, do so, but it won't help the bend they have already done to the locator tab portion

Happened to me too.. They also lost my stock valve stem caps. I left a bad review.

Before I get tires installed now I remove the caps and valve stem caps so they can't screw them up.

A great quality wheel repair shop can pound these back into shape.

Ive had to have mine reworked for the same reason.

Watch ebay or call rob at needswings for replacements

prepare to open your wallet wide.

Thesebdont come up up very often. Take them off with plastic pry tools before your next trip to the tire or brake shop

Today i removed all hub caps. With care, i have succes to straighten them and reinstalling it. Like Ala_xfire mentionned previously, they are bend because mecanic guy don't pay attention to align them with the **** in the wheel.
Problem solved! Thank's for the trick!

Whenever I have tire service performed, I also remove the center caps on all 4 wheels and leave them at home. No chance for them to look elsewhere in the car and attempt to re-install. Keeps the Service Shop from scarring up the wheel while prying the center cap off. I usually remove the center cap with a plastic pry stick (like from a set of interior panel tools) or use my driver's license to slide along the edge until I can pull the center cap off.

I also have a set of McGard wheel locks on my 2007 Coupe. I remove them & re-install the standard lug bolts so the Service Shop doesn't have to deal with them. When I get back home, I remove a lug bolt on each wheel and replace it with the locking bolt. And I always tell the Service Shop to torque the lug bolts to 80-85 ft-lbs. The spec is 81 ft-lbs on the Crossfire. Most shops will torque to 100-ft-lbs w/o looking at proper value for car.

It seems McGard only has the ball/radial not the cone shaped locking lug bolt. Did you use the McGard, Radius Seat Lock Bolt Set, product #28023?

When I purchased the lock set for my 2007, that was the product number I bought. But I was retaining the OEM wheels. If you're mounting aftermarket wheels with cone seats, McGard makes a set of wheel lug bolt locks that will work. Take a look at these / They are only 0.6 mm longer than the Ball Seat version for the Crossfire wheel (should work): CLICK.
