Default SRT-6 motor temperature

Hi,
I purchased 2005 SRT-6 roadster last month. i am the 3rd owner.
I put around 1800miles on it since i having it.
After a ride (short or long) when i stop and goes arond the car (particulary arond motor compartment) i suspect abnormal high temps of the motor.
(Temp gauge is in the middle) But no number for temp!
But like it is my first car with supercharge maybe it is normal. Someone could tell me what is the noemal temperature of this car. This week end i will try to take temperature with laser thermometer

The needle on the gauge is a needle width below the middle on mine, some say a needle width above the middle.

Sounds normal. Mine hangs around middle, below when cruising on cooler days, just above when cruising on warmer days. You are fine. Welcome to the Rabbit Hole!

Check the temperature. When brand new my gauge read just below the mid mark after driving. Now after all the years it reads just above it. However, the temperature read by my data logger has remained the same. The change occurred after getting the engine up to 235º on track a few times. I guess the gauge is broken in now.
