Default Battery drain

I have an o5 SRT convertible which has developed a Parasitic drain.I tried pulling each fuse using a muiltimeter but no luck with anything obvious. A fully charged 1 year old battery is dead around 2-3 weeks.Anybody have any helpful information?

One cause is the alarm siren shorting out because the old batteries inside go bad and leak acid. You can remove it or replace it. It is located under the cowl in front of the windshield. You need to remove the wiper arms first. Clean the drains while the cowl is off.

How much current is flowing? 55ma or less is fine, and if it's that low, the battery is at fault (a one year old battery can easily be the culprit).

My car is allowed to sit for up to three weeks at a time, it's fine. My standby current is 25-29ma.

Have you tried the help post by member pizzaguy, for finding a drain? He posted it a while back (I believe) but I couldn't find it. It requires an amp meter in the milliampers range. Gook luck finding the drain..

I recently had a parasitic drain that left the car unable to start after a week or so of sitting. Ammeter wasn't working for diagnosing but the siren was dead so ... Got a wiper puller from Amazon, removed the cowl, and found lots of leaves covering the drains which probably entered through a missing wiper grommet that may have been lost when I had a cracked windshield replaced several years ago. There was a little water leakage on the passenger side carpet that I let air out. Also I had replaced the heater resistor about a year ago that possibly failed if it had gotten wet because of the plugged drain. Anyway, pulled the siren connector and no more battery problems. Used black tape to act as a grommet until I do a proper repair.

TRhanks for the solution. The siren is a common cause of battery drain and a fairly easy fix. Those drains need to be cleaner periodicly.
