Default Pgh. Service

Hey,

I urgently need service. My car is a no start.
they thought it was the starter
the mechanic is at an independent garage but worked at a MB dealer for 40 years
the MB mechanic said the key is not communicating with the module.
I checked Bobby Rahal mb, Jim Shorkey, Monroeville Chr, Jeep.
can anyone please call me, as I won’t be able to find this post again.

I assume you mean it doesn't crank as opposed to doesn't start? Need more specifics. What does it do, not do when you turn the key?

I called him last night, with the assistance of another Crossfire owner (Al) today, a new RCM was swapped and gave the same 3 starts and no run! It's the SKREEM module and will be fixed within a week by a 3rd Crossfire owner's shop and a spare key will be created for Warren as well. I also supplied him with the names of 2 shops in Pittsburgh that may help him with common service issues.
Looks like his SRT6 will be back on the road soon....

Awesome assistance Dennis! This is (once again) testament to the caring and thoughtful members that we have on this Forum.

I just assisted, Al, another forum member visited Dahntahn (Warren) today to determine the reason for a no start. Al swapped in a new RCM, with the same results, leading to the SKREEM diagnosis and confirmation.
Stupid diagnosis by the tow truck driver, a bad starter, sounds like something a Chrysler dealer would have stated as well.
This was a community effort to get his SRT6 back on the road.....
Regards,
Dennis

Kudos to you and Al both. Warren was quite fortunate. Damn SKREEM.
