Default fixed pulley scam

fixed pulley its a scam, the vendors that sell them , will send you to another tuner, being tuner themselves
they send you to vtech then theyll send you 2 or 3 tunes, none will work . fixed pulley is untunable. thats why not reputable tuner works them
car will work for a few days but as the fuel trims interact with the tune, then the car will hunt and stumble badly even on idle, and the car will go super lean when open loop activates, almost blow my engine
, the ecu will see all that extra air pulled from the fixed pulley at idle, that will screw the load value and throw map sensor check engine light. car will hunt and die. no way around that.
vrp, eurocharged, ultimatepd none will tune them, theres a reason for that

someone has long term success with them?

I have had VTech now going on about at least 6 years I been on a fixed setup for about 4 years from a 181/69 clutched 181/63 clutched 181/63 fixed 181/62 fixed 181/60.5 fixed clutchless ,don't believe the hype about intake temps I have proof my car runs at or below ambient temps if the cooling mods are done properly so,if you have a fixed pulley yes contact him thru Facebook messenger I have over 100 tunes for the setups I have had my car is a happy camper thanks to VTech .Never buy those fixed pulley and tunes combo you are definitely correct I knew it was a scam .

Also if you join a slk32 c32 Srt6 forum online it's tons of people successfully running fixed or clutchless pulleys with great success tuned by VTech I have videos posted as well as several others like ND_72 posts as well about his fixed setup and VTech tunes

I was able to renew and relevel the friction material on the stock supercharger drum, since it was slipping do to wear. no more frustation with the clutched pulley, no slipping now

I have a plm larger than stock heat exchanger,a bmw m5 heat exchanger stack with that running thru my heater core and back to my water tank I can run a 35 to 40 degree intake temps using ice or just cruising of the ambient temps is 85 or below our side my intake temps or always 10 to 12 degrees below I made several videos showing that and also I could usey ac to drop temps if needed ,also my system is separatedy big manifolds have several coats of heat resistant paint on them as well as my intercooler and supercharger so the simple overlooked stuff works .

I forgot to ask did you purchase a tune with the pulley from UPD or VTech himself because I never known VTech to tune thru a 3rd party

The only TCU I have seen to release horsepower on the dyno is VTech. My V2 is 6800 RPM shift limit perfect shift speed and shift pressure a full manual mode that has been documented

Thanks for the detailed reply. cool set-up.
In my SLK32, I only have a larger HE and better pump and regularly have IAT temps of 15 to 25F above ambient. In my SL55, I have an FI Interchiller set up and IAT usually runs 20 to 40 F below ambient. Your set-up sounds like it is keeping temps in the sweet spot. very nice.

Chris

With ANY radiator type heat exchanger, you can only get an IAT down to ambient. There's no way to go below that, no matter how massive your heat exchanger is, no matter how big the pump is. Physically impossible to get below that with the basic type of system in these cars. Now, add in an active cooling system, like a Killer Chiller, Interchiller, etc, and now you are adding energy to the system (ie, the A/C compressor heat pump system), and at this point, you *can* get below ambient, as you noted on your SL55.
