Sideswiped on the Highway
Was doing about 50. Rush hour, picking my daughter up from school (4). She was ok, mostly light damage, initial inspection was $3k in damage but that was just the 2 minute external inspection. Wheels are chewed up (Aftermarket), fender is scratched and dented in, Side Marker light is damaged, Bumper is hanging down slightly. Probably just a fastener that broke off I'd assume.
Person that hit me was 17, didn't use her blinker or stop just came right over. I couldn't stop because of a vehicle on my tail, and a drop-off to my right. At least she stopped. Most in this stupid city wouldn't.
Neck hurt from the side hit and my back. I'm not in my 20s anymore, daughter was cleared by EMS at the scene since she hit her head pretty good on the carseat.

That's terrible! Thank goodness no one was hurt and that the other driver was responsible enough to pull over.
I hope the damage isn't too bad and you can repair it.

Stuff happens; Doesn't look bad. You can get it repaired and move forward.
Exact same situation happened to me this weekend, but car on left had passed me, then traffic slowed and he pulled into my lane; hard braking and turn to right saved my car. I'm always extra alert when near the others blind spot as many drivers are just too aggressive on the road these days.
You all walked away, so all is good.

They have come in handy several times, Once in 2018 I had to testify because my Dashcam captured a mugging of a lady in a walmart parking lot and by me pulling out of the space quickly he ran off and it got a profile of him and the plates of the car he was running to.
The Crossfire is only front facing. I'd actually recommend the cheaper CoxPal one it's a bit sharper, and has front, rear, and interior camera angles. Like most Cams it has Speed, Direction, GPS Location, etc.
The one in the Crossfire is a Thinkware Q800 Pro but they don't make it anymore this is the newer one -
The one in the Yukon is a Thinkware U1000 but they also don't make it anymore I don't think - https://a.co/d/fqCADgO
The one in my Atlas is the cheapest and one I'd recommend. Can be powered via USB-C or a 12v Hardwire COXPAL A11T - https://a.co/d/8SRMSEd
Just an update, they found some issues with the suspension from where they hit. Also an attorney friend convinced me to go get see a doc because of tinnitus and neck pain. they found some herniation in a disk in the neck.
Still waiting on insurance to say they'll cover the deductible. Should have probably called them first. In the meantime the car is garaged.
I guess this is a good time to mention I'm selling the original SRT wheels and hubcaps and new hankook tires on them if anyone is interested?
