After 17 years I decided I wanted to return my SRT6 to completely stock so I purchased the letters and resurrected the SRT6 badge that a member kindly sent me about a decade ago. After watching a few Youtubes, I carefully took on the gluing using my roadster as the template for measurements. First, nude:
Did you use double sided tape to attach or decal glue?
Would have been a great idea to "brush up" the SRT-6 emblem as it looks slightly faded while you had it off the car. I am trying to do the same, still figuring out what the best way is to go about it. I'm thinking model paint behind the "6" and tape, with cut out SRT lettering and spray painting those black or something along those lines.
I used a 3M product I had read about (well, Youtube) because I did not want to be trimming double-sided tape on so many letters. He had them listed at $8.99/each with free shipping and I offered $7.50. With judicious use of the tape, I only needed one strip for all the letters and the SRT6. You cut off a piece of strip, pull off the backing, stick the letter on it, then remove and place on the vehicle.
The emblem looks much better in real life and I did not want to damage it, besides it is 20yo!
