Cool Calling all SRT-6 Enthusiasts

I want to increase my HP to get closer to the 400 hp mark. I would love input from anyone who has undertaken this. I want to keep it simple, and upgrade the pulley, ECU, intake and cat-back exhaust. I was looking at the Kleeman system as tried and true...all comments are welcome!

I'm in the same boat as you. The only intake I found was the one from evosport, The SLK intake mod. I still can't find an exhaust system for the car. I'm thinking of using H&R springs to lower the car 1" and upgrading my wheels to 20" out back and 19" up front. I don't know if they make sway bars for this car either.

i too have looked into this, and what i found was that by doing the ecu mod along with the pulleys will yield very close to 400 at the wheels. add intake and exhaust and i'm sure you'll be easily sitting over 400.

I know that dynoing our cars seems to be a problem, so what's your guess on the RWHP. I'm thinking my car would put down about 195 hp, so the SRT-6 should be around 300-310, so those mods to get you near 400 hp better be pretty impressive ones. BTW, why don't you guys looking for exhaust systems just take your rides to the local muffler shop that does alot of hot rods and have them fab something up for you?

Not sure why there would be an issue with dynoing the car. You just have to go to a competent shop.

The SLK32's are putting down 290-300 hp on a Dynojet.

I remember reading about some sensors in the front wheels. Has anyone actually dyno'd their Crossfire on either a Mustang or DynoJet then.

Yes, that's a 2000 viper and my 2004 crossfire, which has been replaced by an srt-6.

Well after reading multiple posts on the exhaust system. I finally took my car to a local exhaust shop. The owner and myself were under the car looking at the system and decided to take out the resonator. Took them a while, but to me it was worth it... The exhaust note just sounds so much better.. I will be reading more of your past posts... Btw.
I'm also looking at pulleys. The evosport slk32 amg kompressor (odps) looks good but I don't see the supercharger pulley in the kit so I don't know if it'll work. Right now I'm kind of . If you or others could point me in the right direction. I kind of don't want to STF...

My quick and easy suggestion is to install the SL55 full intake and if you live near CO have Kleemann install their pulley and ECU flash and that should get you near the 400 h.p. neighborhood...

The removal of the supercharger pulley can be tricky esp. if your looking at doing a DIY project and with the stock supercharger pulley being relatively small to begin with...the net gains might not be worth the effort...

Darn, I'm in Hawaii in the middle of the pacific ocean...So far I've ordered the sl55 intake from evosport. Hopefully I'll get it by this weekend. I also ordered their phenolic spacer. I ordered h&r springs from tirerack. So my next project is the pulleys..Is the srt-6 engine the same as the slk32 amg kompressor? If it is, then I'm more than likely going to get the evosport (odps). The ecu I'm thinking of getting is from powerchip.
I'm asking you because you seem to know alot about this car. I will continue to search your posts. Btw thanks for the replies...Mahalo...

Evo's pulley kit works, it generates power. The downside is that it does away with the harmonic dampener. There has been a large debate on Evo's website about whether this is a problem or not. Evo maintains it is not yet their new kits for other models come with harmonic dampeners. There have not been many but there have been some reported problems with the Evo kit. Several of those threads have been deleted from their site. Personally I would chose RENNtech or Kleeman over Evo.
