I dont see the reply from amx here in the thread but i got the email for it...

Its odd he states its not as simple as a chevy into a chevy yet it is clearly putting a Mercedes motor in a space previously occupied by a Mercedes motor...

And the rest is beyond comprehension for me 🤷🏽*♂️ Anyway, if you look at the thread about the “last one Rudy built” (not sure the actual title) he used the m113k so the answer to my question is a simple YES 🙄👌🏼

Soon as I reply it shows up lol 😑
From what ive read it seems like those who swap are doing it the hardest way possible.

Personally its a waste of a Mercedes motor to swap any of them into a xf... as tight as it is in the engine compartment already, im dying to know how you change your 16 spark plugs? In my area it would cost $100 or more just for the plugs.

For those that are interested however:
v6 - m112
v6 super charged - m112k
v8 - m113
v8 super charged - m113k

slk230/slk320 - v6
slk32 - v6 sc or SRT6

there are many sources of the m113 v8 in Mercedes applications (I think E class, not certain) and I believe there are about four different displacements as well, but of top of head I think its 3.8 4.4 5.0 and 5.5

I don’t know if any of those can be found supercharged other than the 5.5 (or if you can supercharge them)

If you are looking to do something overkill like put an AMG motor in your lil ol XF, then thats your motor, m113k. See amx’s photos above ☝🏼😁

And also, i see it as a waste of a XF too, our cars are already considered vintage, so instead of trying to overkill it and crush every 2 door v8 in the vicinity, I decided to go the ‘restoration’ route, and make it the luxury roadster it’s designed to be, or “autobahnable” is what i call it😂😂

(Except Cost) because each one the cost was different.
I was ask this question today.

Can a V8 fit the same in a limited as in a SRT 6----------Yes, and now you can Choose the rear ratio you want .

hello, im working on doing the m113 swap. i have been slowly getting parts, and pulling old parts. im a little confused about the transmission. im swapping in an srt6 transmission, as i understand that it should be able to handle the abuse. but what can i do about the output flange. is it possible to swap the flanges of the transmissions, and if i do that how? or should i swap the drive shaft. if possible id prefer to just swap the flange and not have to buy a drive shaft. what do i do?

Use the front section of srt6 driveshaft

I is simple to swap the Yoke on the back of the tranny , they interchange, the limited drive shaft to too week to be used with a v8. transmissions,,, limited too week for a V8,,, srt transmission will work but i would go with a V8 transmission and all the yokes will interchange ((((((( from the post above hay james give me a call ))))))) jim

SRT6 trans will hold, but even it is not as strong as the V8 trans, and lacks some of the improved shift elements (blue top solenoids). The bigger difference is the torque converter. With the torque of the V8, it will have a slightly higher stall speed. Not a big deal. As for swapping the yoke, you will need to get the nut off the tail shaft of the trans, and probably need a gear puller to get it off, the swap, put the nut back on and peen it in place.

On the trans, no. Take one off, put the other on. I think you will be going through flex discs more often than you should, though. Consider jumping up to the SRT6 driveshaft and probably rear end, too. That 3.27 is going to get old, fast.

ok, i am trying to put together what u have .......
a limited crossfire that u r going to put a V8 ninto Ok the limited has a 3.27 rear in now the limited transmission with an auto transmission will be fine,,, better,, would be the srt6 transmission ,,and even better would be the v8 transmission. The limited car has a small yoke both rear end and transmission. if you use the transmission from your limited , then the drive shaft from your limited bolts right in...
if you use the srt6 transmission you could swap the yoke on the srt6 and the limiter small yoke on both setups.
if u use the srt6 transmission you could use the front 1/2 of a srt6 driveshaft and the rear halt of a limited driveshaft.
if u remove the yoke on the rear the crush washer has to be crusher so that u have about 20 bs of torque on the pinon gear to turn.

again all transmission will work good, the v8 u r using is only 350 to 385 HP at the crank ,, for my car i had 590 HP at the wheels.
if i were u i would use either the limited tranny with your drive shaft that came with the car, or i would use the srt6 tranny and remove the yoke from the srt6 tranny set it aside.
install the limited yoke into the srt6 tranny iand bolt everything together send me a pm i'll send u my phone # and let u know even more info, on rear end choice jim

Okay, I will pm you. I own a base model 2004. I have an srt6 transmission (I got it first because I found a good deal) I'm looking for the 5.0 m113, I'm saving for one out of a 2006 ml500. I was hesitant on removing the yoke on my stock tranny because I had read somewhere that you have to tighten the nut back on in a specific way and I couldn't find anywhere what that would be.
