Cleaning headliner for Coupe
What does anyone use to clean the material for the coupe's headliner? This cloth feels like it would be hard to clean. Suggestions?
1 - i use a foam window cleaner (3M or like)... spray it on a towel and rub "lightly" .
2 - tuff stuff from stp... spray it on a towel and rub "lightly".
3 - a moistened wet wipe.
your choice... they all work well for spot cleaning.

- Prestone interior cleaner in the red aerosol can with the brush on top...brush very gently or you will rip your headliner (easy to find at Walmart).
- Folex works even better and is easier to use, but could be harder to find (I got mine at Target).

Thanks Andrew and Golfdude! While looking at my car care products in the garage, I found, along with Giott's clar bar and Speed Shine, a bottle of Giott's Interior Cleaner for headliner and the like. I am going to try that first. You just spray onto clean cotton cloth and rub gently. Hope it works.

A mixture of Woolite and water would work good, but seeing that used Griots clay bar on your cars paint, why not pick up some of their Interior cleaner, I highly recommend it.
While you're at it, pick up some of their leather conditioner, you can thank me later.

However, I need to get a new clay bar. Griot's has a new improved one. I am going to work with the Griot's Interior Cleaner today. I have a couple of spots on the headliner that is driving me nuts...
I thank you, Aero Blue.
I was going to create another post but this one is similar. My window was left cracked a bit and water stains around headliner by the window are the result. Will these water stains come out with the methods posted here?
Thanks

Huh? Do you have water stains on the headliner? Your post seems a bit ambiguous. If you had water on the headliner, I would assume that it would evaporate away. If not, I bet the earlier mentioned posts would work fine.
There is a faint watermark outlining the area by the driver/passenger side windows about 4 inches from the top of the window. Concern(s) are, that if I use the cleaner for that area will it appear darker or will I have to just clean the whole thing.
Either way you cut it, water will be used in rinsing the soap from the fabric...try anything mentioned here...I think they would all work. If there's a problem, that's what this forum is here for! Good luck.
I had a couple of minor stains on the headliner. I used Griots Interior Cleaner. I spritz the cleaner on a clean cotton towel and rubbed lightly. It dries on it's own, no rinsing. Stains gone...

There are no half measures, the foam on the back of the material is falling apart, I used thumb tacks to hold it up on the vertical face at the back and short self tapping screws in other places.
