Paging Andrew - inner fender question
I had to take my rear wheel off today to remove a nail. Luckily it didn't go through.
The inner fenders are a mess!!
Andrew, what do you use to clean in there? Regular soap doesn't seem to cut it. I hate a dirty crossfire. I need to clean it up for sunday's show.

i would recommend a general automotive degreaser or 409... along with a medium/stiff nylon brush with handle. scrub and rinse...repeat until spotless.
but to do it correctly... i would remove the wheels.
to maintain my cars underside & wheel wells ... i use a diy .25 carwash... some (the good ones) have flexible wands and hot water which really helps fight the dirt build-up.
i can't tell you how many people clean & polish the heck out of cars the paint... but... completely forget the dirt in the wheel wells and underside... and when driving behind a crossfire the underpinnings are very apparent imo... bend down and check your crossfire today... clean um' already!

I wash my wheel wells every wash, just soap, water and a little skin. Tight fit. It would have been nice if they had not painted white there also but hey if it's dirty...
Thanks for the replies.
The wheels will definitely be removed and all will be clean again. I take the wheels off twice a year and detail them anyway.

Andrew...Your car (as usual) looks fantastic!!
Your muffler appears black - did you paint it? If so what did you use?
I will start paying more attention to the underside.
Thanks...

to maintain the clean underside...i do power wash the area every week or two... when washing the car at the diy .25 car wash.
Andrew - thanks for the help.
I was rear ended at a stoplight by a 17 yr old (very minor...thank goodness). And as part of the repairs, I had them install a new exhaust. I will take your advice and check it out and then paint it. I am waiting for Magnaflow to come out with their Crossfire system.
Your car is always super clean and looks great.
