Default Good Detail Shop In Montgomery County, MD?

Looking for a good detail shop in Montgomery County, MD. I want to make sure they know how to do a black car. I could do it myself but, it's a bit time consuming...and frankly a black car makes me very nervous. You can't make a mistake or your screwed.

Thanks!

Maybe I should try finding a guy like you in my area. Although I think I would enjoy doing this work on my car, the weather is not cooperating. I would like to do a clay, polish and wax job before covering my XF for winter.

For winter months I always recommend that my clients just get a clay bar and a good winter wax. My focus for the winter is protection of the paint. I don't think it is worth it to take the time to polish vigorously to remove swirls at this time of year. This is because salt and junk on the roads will naturally create swirls that would have to be repaired in the spring either way, so, instead of polishing twice, just polish in the spring. For winter a nice glaze should suffice to hide swirls, improve gloss, and not sacrifice the clearcoat. My recommended pre-winter prep would be clay bar, glaze, and winter wax.

I agree with Golfdude, protection is key and I'd SG 2x's going into the winter.

Hey golfdude!

This is Crossfire Princess's boyfriend. Yeah we want to get it set before it goes in the garage for the winter months. It was never done right from the dealership. Light scratches or what I call the spider web effect. I don't want the inside touched just outside...claybar, polish, and a good wax. I'll pm ya to get more details of when, where you are and an estimated cost. Thanks for the reply.

What brand of wax/polish do you use?

Hi Crossfire Princess and Crossfire Princess's boyfriend. Right now I am currently in Harrisonburg, VA. If you can get close to this location that would be great! Nevertheless, I own a variety of different polishes and waxes, such as the ones manufactured by P21S, Collinite, Optimum Technologies, Klasse, Meguire's, Sonus, Clearkote, and some more. They are all of the highest quality. I also do my polishing by machine, which saves time and allows for more effective polishing. I have a Metabo rotary and a Porter Cable 7424 just to give you an idea of what I have in terms of polishing tools. Looking forward to do business with you soon. I will be awaiting your pm soon.

Regards,
Ciro
