Default The first Crossfire to be detailed other than mine!!!

I finally got to detail another Crossfire. The vehicle was in good condition, with minimal swirls but some random scratches around. The process was as follows:
- wash
- clay bar
- Optimum poliseal via pc and a green edge 2000 pad...the rotary was used in some locations.
- Optimum Optiseal
- Poorboy's natty's paste wax

It was my first time combining the Optiseal and the Natty's paste wax, and the results were incredible. It is now my favorite combo. I can't wait to do this on my own car.

Here are the results:

very nice work...

i like the aero blue color.

... this owner apparently has a sticker fetish... but i would have had to remove the dealer decal on the bumper.

Thank-you all for the comments...Brhertel: Yes, black is a pain in the butt, but I think it is worth it. Please feel free to take a look at the Camaro I did the day after in this thread.

Yes, these metallics add an interesting flavor to the paint, but reflectivity is what makes me think "wow" when I see a properly detailed car, and metallic paint simply can't reflect like a flat black. I always wanted a black crossfire, and I still do...but with my cedar interior and summer tires.

I really need to read up on the step by step instructions on this forum regarding black paint. I am pretty basic...wash, clay, wax, but I have never "detailed" the car to my liking.

The other thing about black is that the next day, it looks dirty again. I use a quick detailer to remedy this, but still, with my white tacoma, the clean lasts a lot longer with less work.

However, when done right, I agree, black looks stunning.
