Default Engine Bay Blues

Hi, Can anyone advise me of a good product which will clean up my engine bay and make it look like new again. My Coupe is starting to look dull under the hood now, with 24K on the clock; so something I can spray on and pressure wash off might be good, all advice welcomed!
Thanks,
Steve - UK

Here in the States I take it to the public pressure car wash. I first spray it with the pre-soak, followed by a pressure wash. You might want to spray it with a cleaner/degreaser, and power wash it. Just make sure you don't point the sprayer directly into areas that have electronics.

Cool Re: Engine Bay Blues

A little know trick amongst open engine hotrodders, you can spray WD40 lightly on electrical contact points to displace water. The name WD40 actually means "Water Displacement perfected on the 40th attempt" this is how the inventor came up with the name, it also works well as a degreaser and engine cleaner.

Every time I wash my car which is weekly the last step is to clean under the hood with a damp towel. Probably not as thorough as the pressure car wash but after 3 years mine still looks new.

Do a search for "engine" in the Detailing forum.

Lots of tips there!

For what it's worth, Our enging cover had some letteres written on it, like someone signed it. Duh.......
Yesterday Gary used a "Magic Earser" on it. We are not sure what is in those things but are fairly sure it's involves voodo, spells and a full moon. The writing came off no problem. Other things didn't even start to remove it. So if there are spots that you want to clean up go for it.

The signature didn't look like "Eric Stoddard" did it?
