I just got my clay kit and this next wknd...the little black roadster is getting done, goes to a 4th of July car show nearby...I got 1st place at this show exactly 15 yrs ago w/ my Heritage Package Z-28...going to see if I can make a comeback...its my old hometown...maybe they won't remember me...and the judges are still the same guys...1 has to be in a wheel chair, just kidding...I worked for him as a kid, he owned a Sinclair station...remember those days w/ Dino...the dinosaur...just reminising...those were the days....'68-'72...

well did a clay on the weekend...turned out really nice...smooth paint now, and is really lively.

i also clayed up the cougar, which has never been done in nearly 9 year...my lord, the difference is astonishing...took a little longer to do, but well work the trouble.

I finally found some time today to clay the car. It really is amazing how much crud can be sticking to the paint of a car that looks clean. The spray detailer liquid on the paint turned practically black and the microfiber cloth got really grungy. I'm not done. I only did the hood, front fenders and doors today. I'll finish up tomorrow and put on a coat of wax.

It does what it says, though. The surface was remarkably smooth after the clay job.

I did drop a piece on the ground Tossed it.

I'd say it's worth the dough. I think it was about $20.

Gonna do mine tomorrow (clay and 2 coats of Zaino) my third clay job on the Crossfire. Just pulled all the wheels and tires this morning and painted the wheel wells and brake calipers. Getting ready for Carlisle.
