Cool Swissvax Crystal Rock

I was doing some searching about waxing cars and came across a detailer's web site and boy did I find something some of these people are going nuts over. I don't suggest anybody here buy this stuff, but here you go if you feel you have the money. Apparently created by some guy named Paul Dalton (UK)

Cool Re: Swissvax Crystal Rock

This designer car wax industry cracks me up. I saw one that was $6500.00 a can and I hear there are some even more expensive than that. I think they have lifetime refills (I would hope!) Maybe it's great stuff, I really don't know. I do know that's about what it cost me to travel up several rivers in Europe. Now let's see wax or Europe, that's a tough one. I suppose someone that just has to win The Concours de Elegance at Pebble Beach might be interested in such a product. For me, that which is on the shelf at Pepboy's will do. However, the fact that they call it vax ought to be worth a coupe of extra bucks lol.

I can understand it in a shop or business to some extent, but just how many cars can you do with a can and just how much do you charge the customers

Impressive service and prices you have there...I'm glad I'm not in NY or I'd be too tempted to try out your basic mini service had I the money.

Thanks for the link.

Good one....will you accept the down payment of the real value of this moon wax as payment in full???

I guess if you have a detail business and can pass on the cost to those willing to pay, maybe it is worth it. But it will never take up shelf space in my garage unless someone gives it to me.

There was avideo on the web a while back of a guy doing a 5000$ wax/detail job on an exotic. I guess if you can afford the car you can afford the wax. 5G's to detail a car.
I hear the "moon wax" has moon dust in it and will scratch your finish.

I love how the writeup says:

To make his wax more accessible to the general public Paul insisted that Crystal Rock
be more user friendly, allowing not just professional detailers to fully appreciate his signature on their car.

How can they make a statement like that with a straight face when it is $1100 a pop?
