Default A Porter Cable 7424 Heads Up

With the new PC model coming out I know a lot of you may be considering purchasing an old 7424 at closeout prices. Please make sure the one you purchase has the hook and loop attachment. Some of the ones selling for low, closeout prices do not have this attachment and if you don't have that you can't use the velcro backed polishing pads that so many of us use. I made this mistake buying a 7424 a while back as a gift for someone and it did not come with the hook and loop attachment. It cost me another 35$ to add that. Just be aware.

Good heads-up there!

When shopping online for these, it is usually cheaper, in the long run, to buy a "Kit". They include a number of various pads and bonnets.

Do your homework!

This is Porter Cables Ultimate Detailing Machine Kit. I purchased one a few weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to try it yet. But the specs are about the same as the 7424. And I thought the price was right!
