Clay Barred The Xf
I finally broke down and bought a Clay Bar kit. First I hand washed the Crossfire, then clay barred it, then waxed it. Then it rained. Now, this morning, my right shoulder blade hurts, the thumb on my right hand is killing me and I have a hang over. The birds got me again too. Oh well. It did look great for a while.
Don't feel bad. I've washed and waxed mine on a perfectly clear day with 0% chance of precip in the forcast and about the time you get done, a storm rolls in from outta nowhere. Happened to me yesterday actually. LOL

Just clayed mine the other day, and I'll tell you what, waxing without clay-barring would be a total waste of time. A good rub with the clay, and the waxing part is s jif.
I bought the white clay-bar. it was scary to see the stuff it pulled off the Aero Blue. Sort of reminded me of those Biore nose strips. I hope it was at least fun to see the rain bead off the car!
Detailing your car is akin to chalk art on the sidewalk - enjoy it while it lasts! While I do like looking at the results of my labor, half the enjoyment comes from the detailing process itself.

Why? Because nobody I know of has ever designed a wax for use on dirt. Wax is designed to be used on paint.
