According to Z28toXfire's signature they are TSW Croft rims in a Gunmetal finish.

Mike,
I too have any Alabaster XF with a very similar condition. Is it possible that I could achieve a similar result with PC D/A buffer and LC pads (orange, white, green) ? Which Meguiar's products, pad, and setting speed combo's would get me there? I have tried a few things, but it just doesn't seem to remove the light scratching/swirling that is still present. The M105 and heavy wool certainly did it here, but I'm guessing, I can't get that kind of cut out of my current arsenal...

It's going to be slower going with LC pads and our Ultimate Compound, but it can be done, even by a complete novice. Check out this thread ---> https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...pic-heavy.html for more info on how it can be done.

Mike,
I started over with the UC and LC orange pad. With the alabaster paint, it is sometimes very difficult to get a good angle of the finish to verify positive results. I taped off a small test area and methodically applied a good amount of pressure and overlapping passes. Finally, Progress! This paint is indeed, hard stuff, but patience, pressure, and multiple passes should do the trick. Thanks for the advice, (and link). I finished the entire hood in about 4 hours. There are still some deeper scratches that just may never come out, but overall, a HUGE improvement, and no more swirls. I followed up with Swirl-x and a softer pad, then a good NXT wax coat. I may follow-up with a gold carnuba tomorrow night. Thanks again for the help. I was getting worried that my PC d/a investment was a bust!
