Default headlights and overspray

Just noticed a small area, about 1"x2", on my headlight of paint overspray from the paint shop. It doesn't appear to have a color but more of an overspray texture barely noticable. All Ive ever used on my headlights to clean them is soapy water. Any suggestions folks

Get a claybar and rub off the overspray. This is the best way of getting the paint cleaned from junk also. Less than $30 and your a star.

Enjoy, Woody

Yep, clay - should take it off very quickly and easily. You're probably just seeing some overspray from the clear coat.

You might also try olive oil. Works great on hands for oil based paint. The bio composition of olive oil does the trick, and won't harm anything at all.

i usually have some of the extra virgin olive oil around for cooking, so I've used that, but to be honest I don't think it makes all that much difference. It just works well for cleaning up oil based paint without harsh chemicals. especially on the hands.

And to tell you the truth GDC, it's been so long since I experienced ANYTHING virgin that I'm not sure I could tell the difference. Bill Clinton said in his cooking class, "Just how do you define virgin?"
