Default First wash-job

It's been over a month since I bought my Crossfire and as the temperture here in Florida today was in the low 80's 8) I got the itch. Mixed up a bucket of Turtle Wax detergent and was impressed how easy the Car is to wash. No sharp corners or protrursions anywhere, it's so easy to wash it's almost fun. A little armor-all on the tires and it looks showroom fresh.

If you've had the car for a month and this is the first bath it's had your font wheels must have been solid black. I've washed mine at least once a week since I got it. My pet peeve is a dirty car and most of all dirty wheels.

You're right the car is easy to wash. I guess that's why I don't mind washing it. It's about a 2 Corna job.

I must admit that I cleaned the wheels a couple of times with a damp rag and a little windex, but really brake dust hasn't been a big problem with this Crossfire. I tend to stay off the brakes, might be the reason.

Yes!...I agree it is easy and fun to wash the car. Try using Nu-finish liquid car wax. Once applied, you'll find that the dirt and dust washes off real easy! It is so easy to apply and comes off easy too. I have been using Nu-finish for over 20 years. I tried other products and always go back to Nu-finish.

Try not to use Armor-all at all on any of your vehicles. For best results in getting those Z-rated tires looking great, use Turtle Wax brand's "Tire Wax" kit. With the sponge (included) the wax applies neatly and smoothly with out excess onto the rims and car body. I guarantee your tires will look showroom slick! The other best thing is what the pros use and that is....anti-freeze.

watch out washing around the word crossfire on the back. I was washing my car and the spunge caught the edge of the first S, took the S right off the car . It turned out the the release liner ( for the foam adhesive) was still half there on the S . Luckly the dealer ordered me a new one ( accually the word, cant just buy an S ). All better now.

When it comes to tires, I really like Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance on the wheels. Applies with an applicator, makes them look pristine, and lasts awhile. I may try the turtle wax though.

I just got mine Sunday and am already thinking about what is the best course of action to take when it needs a bath. Can anyone spare some advice for a beginner :?: thanks

I have had mine for a week, but I really do love these armor all car wash wipes if your car isn't THAT dirty. Other things I like are quicksilver wheel cleaner and meguiar's gold class endurance for the tires. The car washes a heck of a lot better than my trans am. Maybe cause it's much curvier and 3 feet shorter. Pleasure to clean these guys. Keep up updated.

I used Armor all for years on the tires of several cars. I eventually noticed that I was having trouble with traction on wet roads, particularly when leaving from a light.

I mentioned it to a buddy who was a serious autocrosser. What he said was that the Armor All migrates slowly, over time, through the rubber and eventually gets to most of the tread. It changes the coefficient of friction significantly and serious racers (winners) never use it on tires they race with. They have separate tires for "show".

Default Black Magic

I have tried several Tire shines from Amoror All , Turtle wax, meguiers...... The best so far for looks is Black Magic, if you can find the can that comes out in foam thats great, the spray one is just as good just the foam is alot easier to go on without excess going everywhere. Try it ull like it .

i use stoners trim shine spray on all my tires and inside vinyl and floorboards. As far as the cars body, just regular meguiars wash will do just fine. Then top it off with some zaino zfx and some z2 works best for black paints
