Cool Which cover is best for Coupe?

Hi, got my o4 Coupe last year. It is in the garage in winter months (driven only from May to December). Anyone have an idea on best cover to buy that would protect it in summer months as well as when I store it in the garage? So many options and prices...btw, the Coupe looks almost as good as when it came out of the factory. It was first driven in mid-2005. So I'd like to keep it lookin good as long as possible! Thanks for any info you may have. Cheers! Mike

Welcome to the forum. Lots of threads here on car covers. A quick search should bring up all the info you need. I had a fitted cover made by Wolf on my cpe. and currently have one made by California car cover on my roadster.

Thanks Phil, much appreciated. I'll do a more precise search on the site.

At the moment I found two places where I can buy the original Xfire cover for a bit over $300...seems like a lot of cash, but the fabric is in weathershield...again so many choices...ahhh the beauty of the internet!

btw, I see you're a CCIC member. I just joined yesterday. I see they have a store...buy I am still waiting for my membership activation. Do you know if I could get a cover through their store?

Cheers and thanks again. Mike.

The fitted cover is beautiful with little pockets for the mirrors (my next door neighbor has one), but hefty $$$. Since I keep my XFs garaged, I bought some inexpensive car covers from Walmart (about $40-50 each) and just use them. Since they don't blow around, they don't scratch, and they fulfill the requirements of keeping dust and leaves out of the car.

Thanks man. I ended up going for the official Crossfire cover from a company called hotcaraccessories.com and dished-out the money. Gotta say...I love it. I also got a great Xfire cap hat from them.

Appreciate the input. Last winter, the wife had it covered by wool blankets in the garage...it actually was a great idea. Not sure how the fancy cover will do when in the garage, They say this fabric breathes....but it seems so tight...not sure.

I checked out the site and he has a lot of accessories, but they are priced large. I purchased the oem bras for $149 3-5 years ago and they want over $300. Same for the wind deflector. Everything is about 100% higher than they cost when the cars came out. I guess it's supply and demand in action.

Try this site, too...

You can either buy one of the Chrysler covers which are beautiful and fit incredible or Covercraft makes several really nice grades of covers. I use the one I originally bought for my PT Cruiser. Its a little big but it gets the job done and has an locking cable on it.

You spent 100 for a couple crap covers when you could have spent 180 for a custom fitted dustop cover that looks fabulous on the car and protects it from dust and dings in the garage like nothing I have ever seen before! And the inner lining is a soft material that keeps the car scratch free (a material safe for a baby skin).

I spent the extra money and got a great cover. Fits like a glove and it even covers down to the wheels. Worth every penny....

My response was to gold wing.... Not you.

But i spent 30 on a cover. Piece of junk that never fit right. Spent the 180 and wondered if it was a waste of money. Went ahead and purchased... Because after all i do value my car and i don't want some cheap material that feels like cardboard rubbing all over the paint. Got the expensive cover made of soft breathable material and was impressed. Put the cover on and then wondered why I wasted my money on a cheap 30 dollar cover.

The point... You get what you pay for. Want the 30 dollar cover and think it is great. That is until you try something of better quality. Then you will understand what I am talking about.
