For NJxxxFire - I use Zaino and other than the first time when its a 3 step process (unless you claybar) it should not take but a few hours at best to polish and use the detail spray. I've said this before the Zaino is streak and dust free and the shine just gets better every time you put on a coat.

Another thing that people often miss when detailing a car, your wheel wells. Ever see a sparkling car and dirty wheel wheels? Disgusting. I always wash them as well. Fact I start with the wheels and wheels wells. When they get too funky a can of black spray paint will make them look new again. Always remember to cover your car when you use any spray paint around it otherwise the overspray will go where you don't want it to go.
I also clean the back of the wheels. I have small hands and its easy to do. I spend about an hour to and hour and a half a week cleaning and detailing.

Under the hood - every so often a bottle of alcohol and a rag top clean up the gook that builds up. I do this maybe once a month.

Agree with most of DFWSBR's comments via Golfdude but it shouldn't take 5 hours to Zaino your Crossfire.
I usually do mine on a Saturday night and let the polish dry overnight and then polish it off on Sunday morning.
Never ever use a carwash and if you have a black car (I had two black PT's) only wash in the shade or after the sun is out of the sky, otherwise you get waterspots.

I had mine A-Glazed, which is basically a marine coating to prevent water corrosion etc. Rinse it with water, wash it with a soft cloth and A-Glaze shampoo, rinse again and dry with clean microfibre cloth. Takes about 35 minutes.

Have never bothered about clean exhaust tips before. Becoming paranoid...

 

I sprayed the inside of the tips Satin Black. I think it looks good.

 

I tried cleaning mine and got them pretty good but I figured over time the tarnish and discoloration would come back so I did mine, inside the opening with black heat paint and yes it really looks nice. After two months still nice and black.

I've actually used some Never-Dull in there a couple times, but everytime I wash my car, I use wheel cleaner in there to clean out whatever build up is in there. I say whatever build up because since I've gotten my SS Magnaflow muffler, its actually stayed cleaner!

 

I agree with painting the inside of the tip a satin or flat black. It takes 3 min to clean, prep, mask and spray.

 

I thought I was cleaning my exhaust tips pretty good until I saw a couple of the pics that you all have done. I am going to REALLY clean mine now!

 

Cleaned mine last week with wheel cleaner and a tooth brush. Worked just fine. They are even shiny!

 

Ok aranofly - there's such a thing as too clean. Those pics hurt my eyes and make me wish I'd have not painted mine.

I've waxed the inside of the tips and use my wheel cleaner and a little wipe to keep them clean. But the wax helps a little bit but when you factor in the heat that comes out of there, the wax doesn't last too long.
