Default against the box

After applying car wax with the provided plastic sponges I thought why not try the eraser sponge? So I did on my Sunbeam Tiger with Acrylic lacquer paint. I used Turtle Wax Ice because that is all I have. Results excellent with insignificant paint erosion. The box said don't. Crossfire is next. no Claybar. gary

The magic eraser thing is mildly abrasive, which is not something you want when applying wax. Then again, TW ICE is mostly oils so maybe all that lubrication is what saved you with the Sunbeam.

Honestly though, do yourself a favor and switch to a proper wax or sealant and use the manufacturers recommendation for application. Go with Meguiar's, Mothers, Adam's, Zaino, Pinnacle, Zymol, AutoGlym, P21S, Dodo Juice, Blackfire....... heck, even Turtle Wax Cleaner Wax. Just don't waste your time with ICE. That is the ONLY car care product on the market that I think is a total waste of time.
