Are you telling me that if that Camry had not stunk, we would be minus one black XF hater? Damn the luck

LOL j/k DJ

Bob, that sure is one nice MB, if you ever want to let it go, shoot me a PM. Not exactly my style with a big V8 sedan, but once you get that front and rear conversion done, it will be a VERY nice ride....

Bob, that front end gives it a whole new and fresh look. Very nice indeed.

Our Odor Eliminator works by micro encapsulating odors that generally get trapped in fibers (carpets, headliners, cloth seats, etc) rather than just masking them. It sounds as though it's doing a decent job for you thus far, but you might still want to give a light spray onto the carpets and under the seats as well. Sometimes it takes a few treatments over a period of several days to make sure you get it everywhere it needs to be, but it is really good stuff.

The Maguires Odor eliminator worked pretty well. Before using it, I washed scrubbed, shampooed everything that stink can stick to. It took a whole bottle of Maguires to do make everything damp. It has been a few days now and it is much better. I have been keeping the windows open and sun roof open while at home. My wife has been taking it to work during the day and parking outside with the windows up in 100+ degree temps. She says there is a very slight smell when she first gets in. I risked using the Maguires on the leather but it didn't hurt the leather at all. the MB has perforated leather and it was the seats that seemed to have the most smell. I sprayed the seats and used my hands as a squegee to push the liquid into the perforations. There was no evidence of any stains in the car and I am pretty sure the previous owner didn't die in it. It smelled like really old people just before they die.

If you can translate that smell to me, that might give this old guy a heads up as to how long I have left...lol....

Wow, how does one get access to such auctions? Was this a dealer auction or open to the public? Seems like a helluva car for the money (even with the smell).

You could put my kid's hockey bag in the back seat for a couple days with the windows up. After that, you'll never notice the smell from the seats again.

Very funny! the problem is fixed now. Lots of cleaning and replaced the carbon cabin filters.
