Default Clean up those funky heater valves

As you can see, a bit of 1 1/8" stainless steel self adhering tape will give those corroded heater valves new life. ( A bit of touch up paint won't hurt either )

Full credit for this idea goes to maxcichon ......

No tape, no paint required just polish them a little.

Did that before Max gave me the tape.
Did you put some clear coat on ?
I polished mine and they didn't stay polished long, the SS tape stays shiny.

Do these covers come off or do you have to polish them in place?

Polish in place unless you want a bath in radiator fluid.

Thats what I thought would happen, so I have been polishing in place with crocis cloth and Never- Dull.

I had read in a post on a MB forum somewhere that there would be spillage, now we know that is not true, good on you.

As I recall, the model MB in that writeup had those valves in a lower-than-engine position. Ours are high enough that they won't leak?
