Default Engine bay cleanup

The '05 Crossfire I just bought is a little dusty/dirty under the hood. Nothing too heavy. I'm used to driving GM stuff and antique cars. Usually I just spray liberal amounts of Mean Green on everything and then hose it off. Can I do this with the Crossfire or am I asking for trouble? Some of the connections appear to be more exposed than what I'm used to Thanks

Check the "Detailing" forum, but that's what most of us do. 50% and no pressure washers.

And I always blow off/out the water after.

I searched in the Detail Shop forum using "how to clean your engine" and came up with dozens.:
