Default Seat Color Fade Anybody?

My '04 drivers side front seat left side bolster has stated to loose its color. Anybody else had trouble with wear on the seats?

I have noticed the same thing in the same place. I have touched it up with a leather cleaner wipe and it seems to recover a bit, but I have scratched the surface of the bolster and now watch it carefully when I get in or out. I'm not into sheepskin seat covers so if I do wear through I will be visiting the upholstery shop for work.

Looks like the dealer is going to replace the seat cover. At 12k miles the dye should not be wearing or fading.

I have the cedar interior. I have found that the bolster and the seats themselves are loosing color. I have tried leather cleaners but have had no luck. any suggestions

We had a 2001 SLK that we returned after 4 years, and the auto mechanic commented on the leather wear from getting in and sliding on the bolster as you drop down.
