Do you have any of the following?
Parkinglotitis - fear of parking lots and dings?
Roadcraptitis - fear of road paint, tar, and bugs?
Truckrocktitis - fear of rocks kicking up and hitting your ride?
Well?

first one, NO because I park far away and on the end.
second one, NO because I wax my car alot, see my sig!
lastly, NO because real cars have/get rock chips, its inevitable.
Ok I have all of the above, real bad. I do park far away but a.) I get yelled at but some biddy who has nothing better to do 'why are you taking up two spaces?' Gee lady I don't know I'm only parked at the very fringe of the parking lot, any farther out and I'd be in the road. b.) some guy in a beat up delivery truck feels he has to back in next to my car, as close as he can.
If I see a road painting crew, I go the other way. I had a real bad experience in my Vette with a road painting crew so I avoid them.
If I see a dump truck (prime kicker upper or dropper offer of stones and gravel, I'll pull over and let them pass. If I think your vehicle will drop something on mine I'm outta there.
Aero is right that real cars have chips, dings etc. However I'm not in the real world so I'll take my chances being neurotic.

Here's another one for you. Took the Crossfire out Saturday afternoon for our (my wife and I) annual ride up and down scenic Sugarloaf Mountain in beautiful Frederick, Maryland. Of course I just washed the car. So we are coming back and I see a huge puddle of water and leaves across my lane in the road. I CAREFULLY look to see nobody behind me and no oncoming cars so I swerve over in the other lane to avoid it. My wife yells at me, what are you doing? Hey I don't want to get my car all wet, I just washed it. She shakes her head in disgust!
It's tough being me.
