Oh yes please send dimensions, that would be much appreciated!... If it's not too much trouble can you post pictures when you unbolt the plenum?

No problem. I have been burning the midnight oil on a site update with these sort of details (air pump, TB removal etc) but still have to fit it all around work so not quite ready yet.

Hey Woody, or HDDP, correct me if I'm wrong but do all M112 v6 engines have forged cranks and connecting rods???

Read the 3rd paragraph here... I'm not sure if I should believe anything I read on Wikapedia...

Wow! If that's true I'm impressed by the amount of engineering MBZ has put into this engine.

What is the physical difference between the AMG and Stock 320 motors?

nice find but a little too expensive for an engine that will more than likely need to be rebuilt.

No I don't hate anyone's ideas, it's just my choice if I feel like using them or not.

That engine will not be cheap to ship over to LA from Michigan, and HDDP has already found an engine company that offers the 3.2L locally.
And I'm also trying to stick with the stock 320 motor, since I'm more interested in the centrifugal Supercharger instead of that expensive AMG unit. Nothing about that engine is economical for me, I have no idea if the S/C on it even operates properly.

so what makes you think it doesn't? and what makes you think that it needs a rebuild? because it has 80k miles??? benz engines are usually good for 250k miles.

Has anyone attempted the low boost Kompressor kit from Kleemann designed specifically for the 3.2? Since some are ready to spend 6-10k for this mod I would have thought it would have been attempted by now. I believe they claim the low boost supercharger would produce 280 HP at 6,000 RPM on the standard 3.2 (M112) engine.

The nice thing about this upgrade is you can choose to add the intercooler and increase the boost at a later date - 331 HP is the claim for the intercooled Kompressor package.

If my X-fire is still in decent condition once the 7/70k powertrain warranty expires I hope to take the plunge myself (although it would be nice to know someone else was happy with this mod before I take the plunge...but sometimes you just gotta say WTF). I've still got another 2 years to go...

I'll see if I can find I Merc forum where someone has had this done to a stock 320 (C-Class, SLK, hell even the base M-Class had the same engine prior to '06). If I find anything I'll post it here.

OK. I am only assuming the worst case scenario with that engine. I have no history on it so I know nothing about it. It could be a gem or a big money pit with nothing but problems.

Using the stock motor with a centrifugal S/C will be cheaper for me, not to mention its more efficient than the roots blower, so there is not as much need for an intercooler.
