OK, Looks promising.

Can you post a sound clip for us Crossfire pilots ?

How's it sound at idle ?

Any interior resonance issues ?

i'll see what i can do!!

it idles very low and deep.
sounds awesome.

i get a little vibration sound mid acceleration,
but it may be b/c the pipe is touching the bottom of the car and just needs slight adjustment.

at first it seemed too loud,
but got used to it very quickly and it quiets way down when your cruising and not "on it".

i think it has that cartoonish quality to it that i really appreciate ... oversized for no good reason other than just looking damn damn good ... i looked through their tips to see if they had a double wall tip of a 4 inch diameter like that but with a slant cut ... they do not, but that is the only way i imagine it looking any better ... also i would paint the muffler surface that is facing outward flat black to give the tips a better background ...

awesome job ! i really really like it ...

When I got my magnaflow race series I had the original tips of the old exausts put on them. Then I cut the 2 catalytic converters out, leaving the other 2 with the sensors in. (yeah there is 4) This resulted in much less restriction, better sound and it will still pass inspections. Just my share on the exhaust.

^ don't worry you two can stick to your just right size exhaust tips ... can't expect everyone to understand or even like modern day culture ... yes it is ricy and yes it is oversized and yes some of us like it ... i can't stand carbon fiber hoods or spoilers that look like benches but on the XF with its cartoonishly oversized wheels i like the look of oversized tips ...

2.5 inch tips on my 3 inch catback on my srt4 tho...

If there's little or no drone, I'm probably going to get the 3.5" tips... How does this muffler sound while on the highway? Do you get any drone?

I'm guessing that you left the stock resonator on there and just swapped the muffler and tips?

I think it does look good, but it also looks as if some bullets are gonna come out of there too. I still like it. But I'll stick to stock pipes for now... I bet it sounds sick.

I followed your lead but went with the 14805 (3.5" tips instead of 4"). Bought the muffler for $100 (new) off eBay. Looks great. Now if only my car would go as fast as it sounds.

I'll try to make a sound clip, but I gotta borrow the girlfriends camcorder, so it'll be a few days... It's definitely different than other cars I've replaced the muffler on. You almost can't hear the exhaust unless you're accelerating.

Then the trippy part is that it is the loudest when in the 2,000 - 2,200 rpm range, but our cars don't make much power until the 3,000s and by then it's mostly quieted down a lot (unless you're flooring it).

The big question is, have you lost torque output?

I doubt it, there's still 4 cats and another muffler (the resonator) on there...

Didn't get the sound clip yet... can't find my mic. I'll have to run out to rat shack this weekend and get another I guess. But here are some pics of muffler with the 3.5" tips...
