Question K ompressor K rossfire?

Hey guys... is the non-SRT engine on the Crossfire a KOMPRESSOR engine as claimed so proudly by the SLK? If so, forgive my ignorance, but what the hell does this oh so famouse Kompressor do to improve an engine?

I believe:
Kompressor = Supercharger
The SRT6 would have the 'Kompressor.'

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The Kompressor (German for "supercharger") is on the SLK 230, which is a 2.3l supercharged four-banger. The SLK 320 (on which the Crossfire is based) is a normally aspirated V-6. If you only see two numbers after the model, then its the super-duper AMG variant. i.e. the SLK 32 (a.k.a. the SRT-6) is the supercharged version of the SLK 320.
