Question Help from those who know please

I have been talking to a guy from STS and this is what he told me I would need for there setup

Crossfire 3.2 V6:
42 # Delphi, or Bosch injectors, $266. I found this price from Google or froogle.

PCM For Less for the PCM – Tune around $250.

Oval pipe for the charge pipe around $320 for the pipes and labor if you have the kit bolt on $900.

2007 Crossfire Liquid to air intercooler.?? This you can install your self they are very simple to bolt up.

STS single turbo universal kit $2,995.

The only thing he told me I would not truly need is the Liquid to Air Intercooler but it would help greatly.

I am very new to all of this but I wish to learn. If this is a good setup I plan on doing most of it myself if able with a professional overseeing my progress if not just paying some one to do it for me. I was told it would not be to expensive once I purchase all the parts required, around $1,000. Any information or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do a search on other turbos - especially twin turbo...

STS builds remote mount turbo kits so a "twin turbo" this is not ... no need to search for that...

overall since you do not know what you are doing this will end up being very over priced for you ... do your research and purchase this book, Maximum Boost by Corky Bell ... i recommend that to anyone even remotely thinking of building a turbo system. after your read that book a few times you will have a solid understanding of what you are trying to do... cause right now your list of items is not very promising, forget trying to reprogram the ECU, hardest route you can take... you are looking at either a variable rising rate fuel pressure regulator to get more fuel or a 7th injector and controller for it ... both VERY simple and reliable ways to get the fuel you will need...

I always thought doing an STS rear mounted turbo would make the most sense for the Crossfire, at least as far as headaches and $$$.

I don't know anything about turbo's but you can buy injectors a lot cheaper than that. I bought a new set of 42 lb FMS injectors (8) for $260 last year on ebay.

I appreciate all of your help I will continue to check here to see what others might say. It will be some time till I am able to afford to do all this but I want to make sure I go the right path in doing so. I know others have endeavored to do this but I want to safely put as much hp into the crossfire as possible. I am hoping to have around 10k to do so. I know most will say why don't I just trade in for a SRT6. well I like stick and it also seems I may be able to upgrade the Limited even more then I would be the SRT6 but as always that is always an option. Any more ideas would be very appreciated.

So, by a lot, you mean $6?

If you are "new to this", I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAVING THE WORK DONE BY A PROFESSIONAL!

The reason I say this is that turbo's require a VERY good supply of oil. With the heat they generate, and the speeds that they turn, a second without oil can be disastrous. Not to mention the possibility of turning your engine into a hand grenade if everything is not done properly.

I'm a certified ASE master and I'd still be hesitant to do this myself. Too many things to go wrong!

^ man speaks the truth ... too much oil and it will bypass the seals burning in the engine, too little and the bearings will be shot in no time ... same for the drain, if it is not properly evacuated in a remote system the oil seals in the turbo will be damaged and allow the oil to seep into the exhaust and intake sides ...

this is a restrictor for the oil supply for garrett turbos:

more and more turbos now come with these built into the casting of the unit rather than requiring you have a restrictor on it like this... ideally this restrictor would be fed at 40 psi.

Ohh I completely agree with you on needing someone who knows what they are doing to handle the turbo and such. If I was to even try to do anything I would have a mechanic looking over my shoulder then go back over my work. If not to learn more about the system then to hopefully save a little on the man hr's I would have to pay for some one to do it all. But more then likely I will need to pay for someone to do it all for me anyway. I like knowing more about it though so I can understand and know what to ask. Thank you for your suggestions.
