Spark plugs?
Re: Spark plugs?
The two plugs nearest the bulkhead a real pain and you usually cut yourself on the heat-shields. The plug leads are really tight too so give them a bit of a twist before pulling them off, and don't tug the wires, pull the metal cap. I find the quickest way is to move the coil packs out the way to give you better access, there is no real need to remove the heat-shields and a universal joint on the ratchet helps.
Here are some pics:
Coil packs lifted clear.
These are a PITA, and the ones near the suspension towers.

Re: Spark plugs?
Well... I suggest you find a child to do it for you... the small hands will make it a lot easier... also make sure everything is perfectly cool cause it is easy to get burned...
And about the colder plug what is your purpose of changing the plugs...? Is it just time for replacement or do you have performance in mind... ? You can go with Denso IK16 on a stock engine that is about equal to what we have maybe even a little hotter or the IK20 or IK22 if you plan to make modifications that will require a colder plug... but if you are keeping it stock and a replacement choose between the 20 or the 16...
