G-Box Gold ? Could this thing work ?
Alright I did a search and nothing came up..
What's up with this ? Seems too cheap/simple to really work !

I'm guessing it's just a load resistor to skew a sensor output.
I think it changes the ambient air temperature sensor's output.
So the ECU thinks it's colder than it really is and goes richer. That might work short-term but I would guess the O2 sensors would just correct after a period of operation in "closed loop" mode. Given enough start-run cycles the ECU would probably detect the sensor values a being out of spec and "throw a code"
Any body experiment with something similar ?

Believe me, I tried the "search" function.
None of the obvious key words produced results.
Perhaps some of the older stuff didn't make the transition to the new server. I don't really believe something this cheap/simple would work on an over-engineered German vehicle like the Crossfire. But I was wondering if anybody has tried this or similar "sensor-signal-modification" devices ?

In theory, it works... But all of our sensors are interconnected and the ECU determines operating parameters based on 02, MAF, MAP, IAT, TPS, KNOCK, and Load values simultaneously.
So, unless you manipulate the principal sensors (02, MAF, MAP IAT) simultaneously, it won't help...

As near as I could determine this box modifies the signal of the IAT and tells the ECU the intake air is cooler than it really is. Probably would help richen up WOT/high-load open loop operation but in part throttle light load closed loop operation the O2, MAP and MAF input would probably run things per normal. I'm just wondering if the "out of spec" IAT values would "throw a code" and light up the SES/Check Engine light. Now If I could get the correct wiring harness connectors so I could just plug the thing in without cutting or splicing my factory wiring I'd probably give it a try. At least during hot weather or when I'm off to the track. But I'm not cutting up my factory wiring while my warranty is still in effect !
